V-Guard for Web is a security program that runs and stops execution in response to requests while accessing web pages.

V-Guard for Web is a virus application that is triggered when accessing mobile web pages such as banks, securities, and shopping.

V-Guard for Web does not run independently; it needs to receive requests to run through integration.

[App Permissions Guide]

Based on the Act on Information and Communication Network Utilization Promotion and information protection in smartphone app access permissions starting from March 23, 2017, V-Guard accesses only the essential items necessary for its services as listed below:

[Required Access Permissions]

• • App Deletion Request Permission (REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES): Used to perform the deletion of diagnosed malicious apps.
• • Internet, Wi-Fi connection information: Used for network connection during engine updates.
• • System Alert and Drawing Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): In cases of detecting malicious apps during real-time scan service operation, it is used to switch to the detection screen to notify users of potential risks.
• • App Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to notify users of the operation status of the real-time scan service.

※ Permission Changes

• • Android 6.0 and above: Consent or revoke choices can be made under Settings > Apps or Applications > V-Guard for Web > Permissions selection.
• • Android versions below 6.0: Individual consent for items is not possible; therefore, consent for all items is required. Please check if your device's operating system can be upgraded to Android 6.0 or higher and consider upgrading. However, even if the operating system is upgraded, the permissions agreed upon in the existing app do not change. Therefore, to reset permissions, you must uninstall the app already installed before reinstalling.
